- Will I need a blood transfusion? - depending upon the type of surgery you are having, your surgeon and anaesthetist can discuss with you the potential for requiring a blood transfusion.
- Other complications that may arise from having an anaesthetic - although Australia has some of the highest standards within the world complications from time to time may occur. This may be dependent upon your state of health and other health related factors. You should discuss with both your surgeon and anaesthetist the risk of complications relating to your surgery and anaesthetic.
