Post Operative Care

POST OPERATIVE CARE:

Post operatively you will be constantly monitored in the recovery room by nurses and your anaesthetist. Initially you may feel drowsy and will be encouraged to do some deep breathing and coughing. You may also require some oxygen to assist with your breathing as you are "coming out" of your anaesthetic.

  • Signs & Symptoms that are usually temporary and are to be expected following an anaesthetic may inlcude: -- nausea (feeling sick) -- dry and/or sore throat -- headache
